Panforte

Consisting of a string trio (Adam Brockway: violin, Alix Hamilton: violin/viola, Makoto Takao: Cello) and solo soprano Elizabeth Edwards, this youthful, vibrant ensemble is one of our most popular; and although this ensemble has only been together for a year and a half, each of its members are talented and experienced musicians in their own right. Its members have all had numerous years of experience on their given instruments whether it be solo work, orchestras or other ensemble work. The majority of its members are currently studying at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Panforte made its debut performance at the opening of the truffle season luncheon at the Wine & Truffle Co. in Manjimup 2008. In 2009, they were invited back to perform for the second annual event.

In May 2009 the ensemble performed at the highly successful concert Baroque to Britney, put on by Ambrosia Ensembles to showcase their members' talents. Here the ensemble performed works such as 'La Vie En Rose', 'I Could Have Danced All Night', as well as a special arrangement of Rihanna's 'Umbrella'.

As a string trio, Panforte performs diverse repertoire, exploring contemporary music while maintaining a principal focus on classical and baroque works. With the ability to combine with Elizabeth, entertainment possibilities can include both background music and entertainment as a featured performance.

Since its establishment, Panforte has been duly recognized for its cohesive sound and unique ambience by a number of eminent clients, including ConocoPhillips and the Wine & Truffle Co.
